A finely ground powder of specially grown Japanese green tea, our matcha makes especially delicious lattes. A favorite among Smith Teamakers, our Matcha Latte recipe leads to a delicious and vibrant green beverage that pairs wonderfully with both dairy and milk alternatives.

Fluffy Iced Matcha Latte

Ingredients

  • 1/2 - 1 tsp matcha powder, depending on preference
  • Freshly drawn filtered water at 175℉
  • 8 oz barista oat milk (or whole milk)
  • 5/8 oz maple syrup

Directions

  1. Measure 1 teaspoon of matcha powder and sift into 12oz latte cup.
  2. Add water to create a concentrate.
  3. Mix with electric frother or matcha whisk to remove any clumps.
  4. Transfer matcha concentrate to a cocktail shaker.
  5. Add maple syrup.
  6. Pour cold milk over matcha concentrate.
  7. Shake or whisk for 1-2 minutes (without ice) to create a frothy, thick consistency.
  8. Pour mixture over ice and enjoy.
